Afro-Latinx Winner Honors Mother in This Year’s Doodle for Google
The winner of the 2019 Doodle for Google for the “When I Grow Up, I hope…” theme was a proud Afro-Latina woman, Arantza Peña Popo. A real photograph in Popo’s home inspired her illustration that she titled, “Once You Get It, Give It Back.” It shows a portrait of her mother taking care of her and Popo later taking care of her mother.
